Frequently asked questions.

Why do I need the training?

As tattoo removal lasers are classified as hazardous (class 4), safety is a top priority. We provide complimentary training with our device purchase. Our program covers comprehensive topics including laser knowledge, skin physiology, pigmentology, step-by- step procedures, special case handling, and more. This holistic approach ensures practitioners gain thorough understanding and are well-prepared for safe and effective tattoo removal procedures.

What do I need to consider when buying a laser?

1. Laser Technology: Q-switched lasers are known for their effectiveness in tattoo removal.
2. Wavelengths: Different wavelengths target specific ink colours. Shorter wavelengths like 532 nm are suitable for red and orange pigments, while longer wavelengths like 1064 nm work well for darker colours such as black and blue.
3. ArtInk II: This product is designed specifically for the PMU and tattoo industry, making it suitable for commonly used inks.

What is important when choosing my first laser?

In our opinion, the quality of training provided with the machine, along with the operator's experience, is the most important factor. Indeed, it is important to remember that even with the best machine in the world, without proper training and experience, one may not be able to perform effectively and confidently. It is crucial to acknowledge that any machine can be dangerous when operated by inexperienced individuals!

How important is the cooling system on a laser?

An efficient cooling system is vital for laser stability during long tattoo removal sessions, reducing the risk of thermal damage due to energy fluctuations. Look for laser devices with built-in water-cooling mechanisms. Choose a reputable manufacturer with a good track record to ensure quality, safety, and performance. Conduct thorough research, read reviews, and seek recommendations for manufacturers prioritizing effectiveness and patient safety.

Is ArtInk Q-Switch II compliant?

Yes our laser is TUV Medical CE approved. Ensuring compliance with the relevant regulatory standards in your country or region is indeed crucial when considering a laser device. It is recommended to look for devices that have received FDA approval or carry the CE mark, as these indicate that the devices meet the required safety and performance standards. These certifications provide an added assurance that the laser device has undergone rigorous testing and evaluation, further ensuring the safety and effectiveness of its use.

What safety features should a laser have?

Safety features play a crucial role in protecting both the operator and the client during tattoo removal procedures. Our devices are equipped with essential safety measures such as real-time temperature monitoring, and built-in safety interlocks. These features are designed to prevent accidental laser emissions and ensure a safe environment for the procedure.
